hawker tempest v

the sabre engined mk v was stationed at the newchurch wing and was credited with destroying 638 out of the raf,s total of 1771 flying bombs shot down in the summer of 1944.

roland beamont hawkers chief test pilot was a famous pilot who added a mounting tally scoring over the flying bombs.
