| While looking through Mason's "Battle oVer Britian" among photographs was {p.143} that of a Me 109 E-3 "Red 13". Neither Squadron Number/date/pilot were ID. Possibly it was of the 1st Gruppe of the 2 or 5 or 8 Staffel. {Any Luftwaffe losses or British reports of captured aircraft 1940 fit this description?} Incidently the unknown Me 109 on page 219 is that of Werner Bartels of III/JG 26 captured 28.July.1940-I found another photograph of plane on the Internet. |
