My sweetheart tells me that if a Russian were ever to try and fly sober, they wouldn't know what to do (she's Bulgarian, so she's sharing a local sentiment)! 
As for me, there's nothing like a good Lager and cigar after a day of flying (or driving, riding or for any other reason, for that matter) and busty beer wenches delivering the libations would most certainly make the occasion much nicer!
