Swedish ww2 pilot down

hi

I have heard that a Swedish pilot exploded during WW2.

The story is that he is hunting a V1 rocket in his orange Spitfire Mk 1a

Now i want to hear if their is some one out there that knows more than me!

Perhaps he exploded because he was flying a target drone!

It stands that he left sweden on a ship to canada.

I couldn't find anything on the Swedish pilot killed in the V-1 attack, but I did find this site about volunteer Swede pilots of WWII...

He'd never catch a V-1 in a Spitfire Mk 1a and any Mk Is would have been retired for several years by the time they came along. The RAF had regulations about what colour(s) their aircraft were painted and orange wasn't one of them. The only colour that comes close is a high-reflectence red used for radar calibration. with chasing V-1s.
