Another new guy

Hi. New to this forum. Am looking for info on Capt John R Brown, the 9th AF fighter pilot whose plane was Big Mac Jr. a P51B. Why is he not listed as an ace in the current books? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello All. Thanks Erich. Maj. John R. Brown, Jr. was with the 363 FG, 382nd Ftr Sdn. His plane is described in Kenn Rust's book as Big Mac Jr. It shows 13 kill markings. I have met John Brown and have seen photos of his P51B and believe that the Mustang in the photo is that and not a D model. Any info of what has happened to him? He was supposed to write memoirs.
