    Hello folks, I found this forum while trying to identify the markings on a B17 tailfin in a Service Album I bought a few years ago at an estate auction.
    Best case scenario is I would like to give this album to someone who may have served in the same unitor at the very least donate it to a museum where it will be appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum. I echo what muscogge said. Someone on this site will not only know the plane's ID they will also know the correct color of the inside wheel-wells, the pilots who flew it, and its complete war record.
