| Southerner lost in CO  Hello, I became interested in this site due to an interest in preserving and remembering the history of those who served in WWII. I have a cousin that has been influential in my life and he was a ball turret gunner on a B-17. I wish to learn as much about his service and that of his peers that I can to share with my children and the youth that I work with. Brian AKA Bayouman |

| Welcome Brian, I live in Lakewood. Look around and get to know some of the members and moderators. We welcome the participation... As you may know the ball turret was considered one of the most dangerous positions to be on a bomber, you might of seen the post where some pictures were shown.  | Welcome. The ball turret is the last place I would have wanted to be in a B-17. I assume your cousin was small in stature?
