Elaines father worked for the 433rd San Antonio Texas, As an aircraft mechanic. Jesse Benavides also use to play the drums. Elaine and her father performed together in a drum and fife history group.
Jesse also an established Nose artist, gave the gift of music, Love for Aircraft and history as well as creating art. Elaine is Apache. She went onto
become a professional Singer, Dancer involved with Native and modern performance since her youth. She has focused on work exploring her mixed indigenous heritage. Elaine performed in recent years for Working with Dzul Dance which fuses ritual and modern dance with aerial arts as a means to communicate indigenous pre-culture. She currently dances and collaborates with, Red Hawk Indian Arts Council, Amerindians: the return based on the phrophesy of the Eagle and the Condor.
Elaine recently started working with Lakota Dance theatre Lance White Magpie, American Indian Community House, performed at United Nations General Assembly Lobby for the Indigenous Day Celebration, Metropolitan Museum Of Art, Firedance The Show- Red Entertainment, Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian. Other: Alice Tully Hall. Chashama Theatre-Times Sq. 42nd street, Antigravity-“Crash Test Dummies” Broadway show, Comedy Central, One Heartbeat- Lollapalooza No. 6, No. 8., Fashion on 7th, MTV, And benefits for kids with The Big Apple Circus.
Generally I am her because I have a passion to fly. I also appreciate those who have stories that inspire. |
