    How do you cut sheet styrene ?

    Hi guys I have to remake seats for my Do-17 and I'm having a hard time cutting out the shapes I'm drawing on the styrene. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    A pair of good scissors or an exacto should work if it's thin enough, or a razor saw if it's slightly thicker. You can always try cutting a bit larger than the desired shape and sand it down to the proper size.

    Yep, that's the way. If it's a rounded shape, then do a series of smaller, short cuts. It's often better to just continue scoring the plastic, then breaking it free. This avoids a cut 'spreading', and gives a clean break. The true shape can then be sanded afterwards.

    I use a metal ruler to help with the straight lines as well.

    A matal ruler and a scalpel.Also an Exacto knife with different blades.

    Thanks guys! Got it. Used the scissors Dwight suggested then sanding.

    If curved, drill small holes around the edges and saw between them with a small saw.....
