Shvetsov power plant

Has anyone got any colour pictures of the Shvetsov ASh-82 twin radial engine that powered the Lavockin La 5FN.

I have got the MIL book on the La5 on order but need to start painting.

The only one I have is from Wikipedia

Thanks Roger

Have a look here, I think there is a couple of good sized pictures. I also found the one on wiki and various other small pictures, this thread has some better pictures for you:

And translated from French if you wish.

Hi Backtothewind,

>Has anyone got any colour pictures of the Shvetsov ASh-82 twin radial engine that powered the Lavockin La 5FN.

Here are some ASh-82T photographs from the Luftfahrtmuseum Langenhagen.

Be advised that they show a East German production helicopter engine though.

Regards,

Henning (HoHun)

That's excellent guys, couldn't be better.

Gnomey followed your link to the recovery and restoration of "White 1" and spent an interesting half hour reading about Black Friday

Thanks for that
Roger
