Country: | I am running a P4 3.00 Ghz with 2 GB of RAM with the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 and it's smooth for the most part. Every once in a while I get a jitter, but that's usually because of something I ran prior to CFS III. If I start the game after a fresh reboot, I don't get any jitter. You know how Windows can be with memory (mis)management.

| I have about the same P4HT 3.02Ghz 2GB RAM 1xATI9800pro 256M Windows XP-Pro. Windows generally messes me up so I use a few cache managers, & have a 4GB drive set up for swap files. |

Country: | Yeah, I always tweak the crap outta windoze, regardless of the machine it's on. If I could find an OS that did everything I do, I would switch in a heartbeat.

BTW, following MS habit and timing of previous sims, CFS4 should have been announced at Electronic Fairs about mid 2004 and released at the and of the same year, but...
Anyway, you can think what you like. The sad, but true fact is that currently nobody is working on CSF4.
And, going a little deeper in that ad, can we find inside it a single reference about PC games? |

ACE studio refers itself as creator of CFS, FS and such, but nothing is said about what the "recruited" should do. Only a generic "designing, constructing and implementing 2D terrain textures". This could apply to almost every kind of game.
Anyway, CES starts in a few days. Almost every developer reveals the plan for the current year in that fair.
And be sure that I would be the first person to be happy if the news about the end of CFS series were false. |
