Automatic Image Resizing

A couple of other forums I am on have this. It automatically resizes any image over a certain size (800*600 pixels) and you then can click on a bar for resizing it to its normal size. I think this only works for images linked from photobucket etc and not for uploaded images (perhaps these should be viewed as thumbnails?)

i think certain images deserve to be viewed full size and as much as i do see your point, asking members to downsize their pics unless they're really good normally works- unless we trial this for a bit?

I have seen that on one of the other forums I belong to, but it only works on uploaded images. Linked images are the original size.
