Any stories of inflight engine oil loss, and since most prop feathering systems work on the engine oil, what happened? Did you save the engine?

Any stories of inflight engine oil loss, and since most prop feathering systems work on the engine oil, what happened? Did you save the engine?

If one was to loose engine oil on an aircraft that had a hydromatic propeller, depending on the aircraft the propeller may automatically go into feather. Some aircraft had electric propellers so once the determination was made that the engine was failing, the pilot would shut down the engine and feather the prop.
