| General Electric turbosupercharges I'm new to the forums and I have been reading the old flight and engine manuals that have been posted here and I've really enjoyed reading them. I would really like to find as much information as I can about the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the turbosuperchargers installed in aircraft. I don't know what it is that makes them so neat to me but I just can't help myself. I am particularly interested in the CHM-2 turbos that were planned for the VTD (variable discharge turbine) program for the B-36C. Pure prototypes I'm sure that there is little written info about them but I would still be interested in any information you would like to share about the little device that allowed the Forts, Liberators, Lightings and Thunderbolts to zoom above the rest :P |
