    Help needed for ID

    Hi all, I need help for identify the engine that used this air compressor:









    The Company "Air Equipement" was created in 1934 in France (Bois-Colombes) and produced aircraft engines accessories



    This part probabily belonged to french WWII engine maybe an Hipsano Suiza?

    I'm not 100% sure but that might me a "pump" for providing either pressure or suction to the gyro instruments.

    It is an air pump, early design, later ones had a spring loaded poppet valve in head, much the same as the ones used on the british engines in WWII. use engine oil for lube.

    I don´t know which a/c used this compresor but for sure it is a French product.


    ...in memory of my friend Joe Owsianik, a former right waist gunner from B-17G, 42-97159 from 2ndBG 20th Sqdn, who was forced to bail out on Aug. 29th, 1944 over my country. Joe passed away on Novemer 1, 2010.

    Most accessories like this were used many aircraft, same as the generator.
    The british version was used on the hurricane, spitfire, lancaster and on & on.
