Rochester Fuel & Oil Pressure Transmitter ? - Aircraft of World War II

Can some one tell me about this part ? Picked this up ( figured I could some how use it to regulate fuel pressure ) but not really sure what it is 'transmitter' ? Is it part of something bigger ?

The wheel says to loosen the locking nut to adjust pressure,,,,so I'm guessing you need a gauge somewhere ?

From what I see, it does as it says - it transmits fuel or oil pressure to a gage, probably at a reduced pressure for safety purposes (you don't want 80 psi of oil pressure at a gage in a cockpit that could be broken open from enemy fire). It's an "AN" part which means it's a "standard part" that probably has no specific design association to a specific aircraft. Those square fittings are just plugs normally placed on the unit to protect it. I suspect the one on the top of the unit either goes to the instrument or is used to "prime" the unit prior to use.
