    ww2 propellor serial number locations

My friend has a ww2 propellor in decent condition along with the hub. The propellor has 'yellow' painted tips and is obviously a military one. It has 3 blades and you can still see the old decals ?hamilton on it. Where would we find the serial number on this prop so we can see what plane it came off of???

Serial Numbers are usually found around the shank or on the prop dome - pics will help
