The Python 3-powered Wyvern S.4 is approximately 3,000 pounds heavier than the Clyde counterpart without drop tanks. The S.4 also appears to have significantly increased drag, likely due to Westland's introduction of an enlarged fin and tailplane, along with auxiliary fins on the tailplane.

Hi all, I am looking for the performance data for the Clyde Powered Wyvern VP120. In the book "Westland Wyvern" by 4+, it's mentioned that the Clyde engine achieved 4030 ehp in a test flight. Cheers.

Thanks for the datasheet Neil, this is indeed very interesting. But could I ask how a Tempest Mk.2 could carry 218 gallons of internal fuel? According to the Pilot's Notes, which suggest its fuel capacity is only 160 gallons.
