Thanks the info Michael! One more question: how can the leading and trailing edge radii be interpreted if they are not given values? Are these the percentage of the max. camber?
Thanks Michael!
By the way, is there any public information on what type of airfoils are used on vintage HS blades, or is that still an industry secret? Based on the template data for the 6095A blade I posted, it appears to use Clark-Y outward from station 30, due to the 0 values. The rest is...
Hi there,
I need help in the interpretation of a Hamilton Standard propeller blade face template dimensions. See attachment.
What does "Blend" mean?
How to interpret "Camber" values? Do they refer to the camber side or to the cumber line of the profile at a given station?
And how to deal with...
Thanks a lot Aeroweanie! Yes, it is probably indeed NACA 2215. I found another picture which is part of a newspaper article about the Nakajima factory in 1940. It shows the assembly of the AT-2s. You can also see a wing profile in the bottom centre of this one, though not in very good quality...
Hi!
Does anyone have any information on the subject?
I read that the design was heavily influenced by the DC-2, which has NACA 2215/NACA 2209 (root/tip).
I found a picture showing the AT-2 airfoil, but I'm not sure if it's the same as the DC-2.
