    War Thunder

Yeah you are not wrong there. It makes mince meat out of opponents. It isn't agile enough to stick it with the single seat figthers in the game, but keep your speed up and do slashing passes and it is very deadly.

    War Thunder

I have only just downloaded it, and I spent 6 hours straight playing without blinking an eye! To me, considering I downloaded it for free, I can already tell I am going to get lots of entertainment for little coin. I don't mind if I have to wait for a period of time to unlock different...

    Russell Bf109E For Sale

I reckon the Boomerang and the Avenger are the bargains to be had on that website, however hearing the DB engine whenever you wanted to would be a dream. Some lucky devil will snap it up.

Whispering Death - RAAF Beaufighters operating in the Pacific

I am glad that you guys liked it. It would be interesting to hear from the Japanese whether they did really call it 'Whispering Death', however I agree that more likely it was a propaganda name made up for a news reel or something and the name just stuck from then on, just like the Corsair.

Whispering Death - RAAF Beaufighters operating in the Pacific

I am glad that you have liked it so far. Some of the footage of the flying in it is great, and I really like the interviews with the pilots. Less and less of these people who served so bravely are around each year and it is great that some of their stories will live on. My grandfather served...

If you were a pilot in ww2 which plane would you want to fly

I voted for the Spitfire. I like that most Spitfire pilots suggest that you dont sit on a Spitfire but that you sit IN a Spitfire, shrinks around you if you will. Not to mention the agility of the Spitfire which it was well known for in Europe. Also, the shorter range that it has I see as an...

"Obsolete" planes still dishing it out

CAC Wirraway in the Pacific, from 1941 onwards. One even managed to destroy a Zero which was quite a feat given the performance disparity.

What other fighters could have been made available to the marines at Battle of Midway

If the corsair is out, about 6 months late for Midway, then my option would be the P39. at the altitudes that were faught at Midway, if USMC pilots were able to use the zoom and boom tactics that the flying tigers were already using in China, the P39 has a large top speed advantage over the...

What other fighters could have been made available to the marines at Battle of Midway

Hi all. This is my first post, so be gentle! Haha What about the F4U Corsair? By June 1942 there were 2 squadrons in the US Navy equipped with the F4U. These same planes could have been made available to the Marines on Midway. Although the Corsair at that stage been considered by the Navy to...
