I apologised for misclicking the VVS, my choice would be the US airforce as it had both extremely efficient planes and a powerful economy to keep producing them

I'd compare the mig 15 bis and the f 86 as two slightly different planes, with different strenghts and weaknesses. Overall, I'd say the MiG was better for jet combat and intercepting, f 86 was good when it managed to lure a MiG into a low speed dogfight

First of all I'd choose a russian fighter, as they were all designed for low alt combat. The yak 3 has better overall maneuvrability and seemingly better armament, but the la 5 fn would be tremendously effective in the hands of an experienced pilot because of its excellent vertical performance...

The SBD was too slow and sluggish and had no bigger payload than the D4Y, it was too outdated at that time

Both were dive bombers introduced in the second half of ww2 and both are relatively unknown, as they didn't have important kills such as the d3a and the SBD. The SB2C wasn't really liked by the pilots and the D4Y had technical issues and did not have the chance to show itself well enough, but...
