I've taken a look through the Emblems of the rising sun a few times and there are some similar ones but nothing is a complete match.

Not really got any info on this emblem other than it's from Japanese aircraft either WW2 or earlier. I've searched a lot, I'm wondering if it's a Kamon (family crest) or maybe of some obscure squadron. Can anyone help?
