General warbird fan and model maker, mainly 1/72 scale.

Hasegawa's 1/32 scale P-40E offering seems to get good reviews.

I was going to offer the old Revell 1/32 P40-E as I can't remember anyone ever saying anything bad about it but apparently the Hasegawa kit surpasses it in all areas. Hardly surprising I guess, it's another Revell kit hailing back to the 60s/early 70s

Colin... Gijive asked about 1/72 scale but not about 1/32 one.

I can sugest the Academy P-40 series. These look much better than those older kits mentioned above. But if you want to save some money the Smer kit can be acceptable. But you have to know that the kit has raised panel lines and a lot of big rivets on all surfaces. Some snading is really needed.

    The academy examples are good.

I have built the Hasegawa 1:72 'N' which was a great fit.

Andy (wildcat) built the Italeri 1:48 P 40 N/M recently and it looks a good fit. The Italeri one is originally from Ertl I believe.

Of course we are talking about the late types of P-40.
