It'll be a nice trio mate, Spitfire/Thunderbolt and Typhoon!

Yeah, Jan and I talked about having the black and yellow stripes that were later used in the Suez crisis of '57. They were painted just like the 'D-Day' stripes, but with yellow replacing white - would look rather cool on some birds. Of course, if this fictitious scenario was extended and elaborated upon , then some aircraft types that didn't quite make WW2 could be incorporated couldn't they? The brain cogs are creaking into motion here......

You know, I'd thought of a Corsair 'what if?' There was a post in another section about what if the Corsair had been with the 8th USAAF, and what it would look like in, say, 56th FG colours, which got me thinking. I was going to do a profile of the scheme, but I still haven't sorted the problem with the software control - need a graphics tablet! So, I thought of building a couple of Corsairs, one 8th USAAF and one RAF, the latter with 'D-Day' stripes. Might get around to it some day, when all the other projects are done, but by then, I'll probably be too old and knackered!!
