While out looking for paints for my Mosquito and Beaufighter....
Which would be the best replacement for the Tamiya paints, since you can't get them all withing the UK, and not being one that wants to wait for weeks for the same paints to arrive, since they have to be shipped by surface mail....???? Oh, btw....Acrylics!

Sorry to say, the Yak-1b was delivered with the wrong canopy from Eduard, question is, do they still have them as replacement parts, or should I just go for a Squadron Signal vacuum one?

Nice buy Lucky. Regarding your paints, I very, very rarely use acrylics, can't seem to get used to them, but probably due to half a lifetime using enamels. However, Humbrol acrylics aren't bad, although small containers, and those from Games Workshop (Citadel Colour) have been O.K. for me. Like Tamiya, some advertised ranges of acrylics can be hard to come by in the U.K., but those available from Vallejo seem O.K. In my limited experience of acrylic paints, I haven't had problems mixing, blending or thinning within manufacturer's products, but overall, Tamiya seem better if only for the larger bottle size.

Now you ARE being hopeful! Anyway, where would you put it? If it landed in Glasgow, the scallys would think it was firewood by airmail!!

Yes they are, but some standard Gunze paints smell a bit.But these new acrylic ones are better. But You can look around for Testors/ModelMaster acrylics aswell.Always you can order some of Pactra paints.
