Well, I finally gone and done it. I've ordered a compressor, which should arrive tomorrow or Monday! Never heard of the make, and it's only a basic mini-compressor, but at £42, what the hell? Got to be better than those tiresome cans, and, as I only use my airbrushes for overall single colour/varnish, or mottle, and then rarely, if it only lasts a year it will have paid for itself. I'll let you know how it performs when I've used it a couple of times.

Nice buys mate!

I like the wildcat box art, especially with it in flight with a phantom pilot

Nice Wayne. Is the kit a 'new tool', or an adaptation of the old 190A8?
I've still got the latter, which I built THIRTY years ago this month, when I was still in the forces! It's a bit basic by todays standards, but still good, and allows a lot of scratch-build additions. I quite fancy doing another, as one of Priller's two 'Black 13' ships in June '44. (Something about Priller's A/C that people get wrong sometimes, not knowing he used two. One had a yellow rudder, the other had a mottled rudder, and a different shaped figure '13'.)

It is the more recent kit using a lot of the same parts of the A-8 release, with additional parts for the A-6 version.

Priller used a couple of A-5 Black 13's also...

Yeah, the ones I mean are noted as A7's on the Bundesarchiv photos. One with the 'Jutta' playing-card badge, one without. I'll have to check my sources before I commit. I think I'm right in saying that Hasethingybob do a number of kits of the 190A series, in 1/32, all based on the same moulds?
BTW, the photos' I mentioned above, are shown in 'Fighters Defending the Reich', Bryan Philpott, PSL, 1978-1980. Good little book.

First of the new 190A-8 series was released in 2004 then there have been the variations...

Your source may be a bit dated now, more likely A-8's, Caldwell's JG26 war diary certainly quotes A-8's...
