    Zvezda LI-2 model kit

Find some pictures of new model kit LI-2 that Zvezda has recently produced.

During World War II LI-2 was used as a passenger transport and also it was taken into military use. The military models were equipped with machine gun and used for transport, partisan supply, bombing, and as ambulance aircraft. It could carry up to four 250 kg (551 lb) bombs under the wings. Smaller bombs could be carried inside the fuselage and thrown out the freight hatch by the crew.

Think it's good looking and very realistic one. I would like to use it in some diorama of a military airport of WW2. It would be good enough also to find some figures of pilots and airport supply.

Info has been taken from Zvezda's Facebook page

What scale is that mate? I'm thinking 1/144.

I want to convert a 1:72 Italeri C-47 to a Li-2 at some stage (to make HA-LIX in original Malév markings)

Judging by its quality and the way these parts were made in, I would say the same 1/144 scale.

If it is part of Zvezdas wargaming series, it might even be 1/200

Yep thats in 1/200 scale. Eastern Express do a couple of Li-2 boxings in 1/144 scale, apparently copies of the Minicraft DC-3
    Military version
    Civil version

Yes, they also have a 1/200 Ju52. It's part of their Art of Tactic wargamming series that also includes figures and artillery in 1/72 scale. vehicles in 1/100 scale, and single engine fighters in 1/144, I assume the different scales to keep the overall size of the pieces about the same for the game board.

Yeah, I'm betting a 1/200 artillery would be the size of a toothpick
