1:32 corsair possibility

Hi Guys
I'm wanting to do a 1:32 birdcage corsair(RNZAF)
As far as I know the only corsairs available in 1:32 scale are the bubble canopy variants(revell, trumpter and 21st centuary toys)

can you guys let me know your thoughts on how I would go about doing it
If at all possible?
I'm making it for my brother(for his birthday) who like me loves corsairs

Thanks in advance,I appreciate any thoughts on the matter

cheers
-Daniel

I also love Corsairs! I think there is a conversion kit if I remember correctly, let me take a look.

Here you go, take a look at this site, the modeller said he used a Lone Star Conversion set, I don't have time to look, but this should get ouy on the right track.

I highly doubt it was meant to be linked back here. anyway..............

Tamiya's 1/48 birdcage is a lovely model. Does it have to be 1/32?

I must admit a corsair in 1/32 would be a very impressive model.

Thanks Catch found exactly what I was looking for, much appreciated

I know what you mean Heinz Tamiya's kit is a beut,

but I think 1/32 will give it that big kick

I've read there are only a couple of decal options for RNZAF corsairs(ventura and roodecal. Can anyone provide me with some RNZAF corsair profiles
These would be greatly appreciated as of right now I've got nothing to go on.
Don't have to be birdcage as I'm also planning on doing a F4U-1D variant sometime in the next couple of months(proberly a revell kit can't really justify the price of 2 trumpters,or maybe the 21st centuary kit if i come across it)

Thanks again guys
-Daniel
