Ok, I finaly had some time to assemble the plane and fill the gaps that were large. I really dislike putty. I even sanded the seams and tried to make everything smooth. I grabbed a large box to spray in. I set aside Sunday afternoon to paint. I hung the plane inside the box to spray the primer and nothing comes out but air What is wrong?

As for the plane, I found a photo of a F5A that I can paint and not have to worry about the purchasing decals. The colors may be a little off but since this is for practice and I do not want to spent any money on it. I am looking forward fo finishing up so I can paint the B-25.

Are you using an airbrush? If so, the paint may be too thick.

What kind of a primer did you use?

Catch 22, my first thought was the paint was to thick. The instructions said to use 3 parts paint to 2 parts thinner. I thought that that was to much paint and went with a ratio of 50/50. Should I thin it out even more? Wurger, since I will be painting the plane a low visibility grey over lighter grey, I was going to use a flat white as a primer. I also have a gloss white that I can use.

Hi David,

So the white paint is good. But what kind of paints it is,an enamel or acrylic one? The diluting 50/50 is a very good ratio.

So it has to be something wrong with the airbrush settings.Or the paint doesn't go to the nozzle.

BTW Have you received my mails?

DBII, I have just been using an airbrush on my Fw 190, and with a few times of complete unsuccess we finally seem to have a reasonably working airbrush, but with mine it's took a 70/30 - 80/20 in favour of the thinner and 80 psi to get it to work.

Thanks, Catch22. I will try that. I was thinking about buying fresh paint and see if that helps.

I played with the airbrush over the weekend. I did not find any leaks or block lines. The paint is either still to thick or maybe it is to old. It is over two years old. I picked up some thinner and will try again tonight.

Two years old shouldn't cause any issues. I used some that was at least 5 and it worked. What brand is your brush?
