Wow its very precise!

Do you mask off before you fill the area?

Also I take it you have scribe out the line after it has been filled?

Cheers

No, in this case I used superglue, applied carefully with the end of a paperclip along the gap.
It is then sanded smooth, I brush paint along the join to check it is filled correctly, which it wasn't, more glue applied and resanded and the panel line rescribed. The panel line is near invisible from the camera angle but it is there.

It certainly does happen! What is it with me and undercarriage legs?
A couple of weeks ago I told you about the leg in the P38 kit being broken on receipt; no problem, pinned it and it was fine. Now, doing the finishing touches to the 1/48th Marauder, having placed one of the main wheels onto the axle at the right angle, I applied just a spot of poly cement to hold it in place. When dry, puts model on undercart to check 'flat' of tyre is right and.... f*****g axle decided to melt off!!
So now it's 'Superglued'... hope the joint holds!
Then, just doing some repairs to a 1/32nd Tornado F3 conversion...main leg on port side snaps clean in the middlle!!
I know my hands are knackered with arthritis, but this is b****y ridiculous!
Maybe I should try gliders, with skids, not wheels!!!!

I b****y well hope so! I'm trying to get these models done for the diorama guide. The way things are going, I might post it in sections!
Forgot to add, on the Marauder, one of the code letter decals decided not to slide into position, so, whilst trying to 'persuade' it, it decided to curl up on itself. No problem thinks I, just add a touch of Microsol and tease it back straight. O, no, b****y thing decided to roll up into a tight ball!
Result? Hand-painted code letters on one side of model!
Still, that's modelling.......

Erich, couple of questions for you as I approach the painting stage.

First, Yellow/Red Bands both vertical and parallel to each other or could the Red possibly be angled to match the fuselage/Tail join line? What do your photo's indicate as the most likely, from what images I have seen parallel looks more probable.

Second, lower cowl, RLM 76? or is it possible that it could have been yellow?

Want to be sure......Over to you!

do not think any yellow on the undercowling in his case.

blown canopy or flat it's your call on that Wayne, and earlier drop tank or the new more streamlined external tank ?

this could be a real puny image and note the horizontal bar would be red not white as in the profile.

Thanks Erich.

I think I will go with the blown canopy.....and will go with the kit supplied tank at this stage...
