Country: | I would use the injection needle for barrels. But it is a very good solution aswell.

Country: | Excellent work. The attention to detail is wonderful and only right considering the subject. Great build in progress.

Country: | Good lookin stuff Wayne, and yes the cowl is incorrectly bulged... I would think that correcting that kind of "mistake" in the kit design would be a requirement for these big time competitions...

Country: | It's not a requirement, rather an attention to detail thing...for the most part it is still a 190 and still judged on the major basics of construction, painting and finish.
You may change or add some basic components, such as seat belts, antenna wiring, guns...to meet an enhanced criteria, but when you replace or modify major kit parts then the model is elevated to the modified category.
If this was a single 'Open' category then I would go the whole hog...

Country: | Hey Erich..moving a bit slowly just at the moment, I am working on something else in parallel as well....
Have added the wing cannon covers, the cowl exhausts, assembled the tail wheel assembly, working on the undercarriage legs, preparing the drop tank and rack components...
The cowl exhausts required a little bit of trimming and sanding work to position correctly so that they sat correctly and evenly when the cowl was dry fitted to check alignment, really didn't think this would require some extra work....but it did.
U/C legs one improved one not done yet to show difference.
couple of pics...

Country: | Not sure Matt? It is visible on drawing's of the A-8 and also have one good upper shot of the gun cowl from the Imperial War Museum A-8 that shows it clearly.....will have to do some research.....
