P-51C Mustang on Chinese Markings

Hello here are some pics about my new modelling

The model will be it:

The search beggin on this thread:

http://www.ww2aircraft.net/forum/air...ngs-12914.html (Looking for P-47D Chinese Makings)

So with all informations on hands I start the building, the kit is a Academy P-51C Mustang

The unique mod that I need to do was to remove the dorsal fin, here are some pics about the construction.

The model almost done, I remove all movable parts to fit with the original pic:

Interior:

Ready to painting...

It´s it.. when I start the painture, I´ll post some more pics..

Best regards to all,

Lucas

Looks good, for starters, Lucas. I'm sure when the scale plastic modelers
get wind of this you'll have your hands full. I build balsa/tissue models. So I
can't help you much. I have some threads on here if you wanna check them out.

Charles

Thanks ccheese, I´m build tissue models too..

Take a lot at my last model:

Tha cockpit, spinner and the radiator is made by vaccum ( a friend did it to me) the prop are from Peck. Here in Brazil we don´t have good rubber, so I need to buy from peck too.

I start to build plastic models 15 years ago, and airmodels 10 years ago... so I have some experience with it. I always say that in each model that you do, you learn some more, and you learn more talking with another modellers too... so we are always learning and mastering uor jobs....

The P-51C are good, I need just to have some lessons about photos, I´m learning to take pics of my models....

Thanks for all !!

Lucas

Tissue model ? ... hum not easy !
Nice work and the plastic P-51 left the starting blocks like a rocket, eh eh.
The tissue one looks like ultra light model kit made for longest flight contest, I don't know how you men call it. Some can fly hours long ...
Make me think about a nice link, site of papermodelers, you've probably ever saw it. The link (Paper Modelers) stored in my favourites don't work, seems to be technical service problem, but I took SBD Dauntless pics from, as accurate as a precise plastic model kit, even in close views, marvellous. I'm gonna host some to show you.

There is the pics I've promised, not made by me, but as the link is still out of order, I can't named the author. All these pics were displayed on the site linked above with much more and tutorials to learn how to make your own accurate papermodel.
Hope this great site will be accessible again soon.

Paper made !
