This is a ZVEZDA 1/72 Stormovik that I built in between big sessions on a large scale plane. I do this to keep myself sane on a big project and also while waiting for paint to dry. I was very impressed with Zvezda and will definitely build another one.

1/72 Stormovik

Cheers Switch

Maestro, do you remember of what decal maker the decal was?Possible the decal sheet was quite old.In this case I always put on a sheet a thin layer of matt cote.It protects the decal markings agianst the desintegration.

BTW Switcha the IL-2 looks very nice.Did you meet any problems with the model assembling? I'm wondering because my is still waiting for putting together in its box.

The only fault in the whole model is I put the wrong fairings on the front of the undercarriage. The fit & finish was brilliant and the way the rear gun mounts is something that other model company's could take lessons from.

I was highly impressed with with the whole model and would easily recommend it to anyone.

Well done Blade. A few lead fishing sinkers in the nose of the 262 will keep 'er on all three gear btw.

Hi TL Blade,
First of all welcome to our forum.Glad to see your models.I hope to see much more pics.
But I have to agree with Matt308 a couple of the lead fishing sinkers should be useful. What is more, don't get me wrong mate, you made some mistakes.
The first one is that the Bf109 G and Fw190D seem to be like not finished yet ( lack of national and other markings on them). And secondly,The Dora has had the main landing gear covering glued backwards.
Therefore I would like to ask you for longer staying here with us.You will find here some nice and high-experienced guys you can always ask for a piece of advice.

best regards,
