You're right though they do look a little too clean and shiny, I suspect that they have been dipped in future. The gloss polish. and maybe polished?

Country: | Properly it is the Mitsubishi Ki-46 (in this case Ki-46-III, 'stepped' nose versions -my favourite- the ki-46-II). 'Dinah' is the Allied code name. |
