| My uncle informed me that he got married to his Japanese girlfriend in Tokyo 2 weeks ago, he didn't tell anyone about it before he went, so now I have a Japanese auntie (Yoshiko, a gorgoeus woman!) who is 2 years younger than me!

| Thanks, ACUMV, for your kind explanation about the Chinese phrase. At high school in Japan, we learn the ancient Chinese literature, mainly poem. So, every sentence may look poem. You are welcome, proton45! I believe your father had many good friends with good understanding both cultures. That is great. Hi, muller! Congratulations for your uncle! I want to know how to catch the heart of young girls Oh, the meaning of the attached poem - A boy gets old soon before he learns anything well. So, we must try to study hard every day. Writen by Chu Hsi.

| Thanks proton45 for the compliment. Yes, let's talk about it on another opportunity again. Girls of different countries may look more attractive... Now the thread theme comes back to 这里有中国同胞吗?

| I hope you guys don't mind me jumping in here for a moment, but I have need of some help. I've had this plaque that was given to me many years ago, and I've never found out what it says. The characters appear to be Chinese, and the bottom character looks vaguely familiar. The characters are solid brass with a framed veneer. It is old, although I am not sure if it's exact age. Is there anyone here who can tell me what this says?

| lol Muller...I'm pretty sure it was made in China, or near there at least, so you're kind of correct! I'm thiking it might be something more along the lines of having to do with the four seasons? Just a guess.

| I like the look of the simplified chinese characters. They'd make for a great tattoo.
