Queen + Paul Rodgers European Tour 2008

For all you Queen fans out there. Queen + Paul Rodgers will be touring Europe this year. Yeah it is not the same Queen without Freddie Murcury but it is the best you are gonna get today and Paul Rodgers is an amazing singer as well.

The cool thing about these shows is that you get the best of both worlds (well the best you can get that is...). The set lists include songs from Queen and Bad Company as well. Most of the songs are from Queen though.

Paul does not try to replace Freddie at all and sings the songs in his own way but it still is pretty amazing. Besides the other 3 members of Queen are there. Brian May is an amazing Guitar player.

Here are the tour dates. I will be buying tickets for the Hannover show on Oct. 4.

Yep saw them in this formation a few years ago. It is good and worth the money, if only to see Brian do his Echoplex Brighton rock solo live.

They're also recording a new record now, release is due at the end of the year.

Yes the record is to be released on Sept. 1. Just 2 weeks before this tour kicks off.

Very very awesomely cool Chris!! Being a huge Queen fan I am eagerly waiting on the boys to announce a tour downunder. If and when this happens, I'll be there front row!

Yes he did and as far as I know they were friends as well, which is why the band asked Paul Rodgers to join the band.

Sorry I'm a bit old fashioned I guess but I saw Queen quite a few times when Freddie Mercury was alive and the Paul Rodgers/Queen thing just doesn't do much for me..........although saying that I will buy their new album when it comes out

Of course it is not the same but it will still be neat to see some of the greatest musicians with one of the greatest vocalists on stage together.
