| Rock Im Park 2009 Well as some of you who have been here for a few years know this is sort of an annual thread for me. 2008 is about to close and it is time to start up the 2009 thread as rumors are starting to fly. For those that dont know Rock im Park is a German Summer Festival that I go to every year. It is held in Nurnberg about 30km from my house. Every year top acts from all over the world play here. It lasts 3 days long and about 90 bands perform. It is a lot of fun. | Added a few more to the rumor list. Pearl Jam has stated in an interview that they will be playing German Festivals next summer. Sounds to me like Pearl Jam will be one of the headliners next year.

| I like Slipknot, but I do not think they are a headliner. Headliners need to be really big bands. Besides there are 3 headliners (one for each night of the festival).

| The 2nd list of bands have been announced. Some good stuff in there, but unfortunately still no big headliner yet. I expect them to announce those when the ticket prices go up in March. | Well the final band list is up. The line up is not as great as it normally is, oh well. It will still be fun, and there are still a lot of great bands to see (just no really big headliners like Metallica). I will be heading out tomorrow for this great festival, and will post pics when I return.
