Well, I've been trying all morning to come up with some suitable words to put here and have so far failed miserably.

I am not a pilot, and I didn't personally know Bob, but I get the distinct impression that Bob was not the kind of guy who would just sit there and do nothing when it all started going wrong.

The fact that he was able to avoid houses (Knowing how built-up areas are normaly around airfields) while dealing with his emergency, keeping his passenger briefed and who knows what else, to me, speaks volumes both about his skill and character and a selfless attitude that defines a real man.

Joe, to you and your families, I offer my sincere condolances on your loss.

Joe, I have been asked to pass along condolences to you and the whole family from the folks at Fencecheck. I also was asked to pass this one along:

Quote:
Since it sounds like you're in contact with Joe, would you pass a message on to him that Alan Radecki expresses his sadness at the news? I used to work with Joe.

My deepest condolences Joe. I have never met him but have heard great things about him from both you and Eric. Sounds like he was a great man and will be deeply missed.

No good with words Joe. As one of the sites old timers you've chatted with me via this site a few times so I think you will know me enough to know how sorry I feel mate.

Many thanks guys!

My time here will be limited for the next few weeks so I want to say your words and thoughts mean so much. We are having a service on the 18th here in Colorado. At later time I am planning to scatter his ashes over his home. I will post more info at a later date, but again your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

My sincere condolences to you and your family, Joe.

You were my first thought when I read an L-29 was down and I held out hope that it wouldn't turn out as it did.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.
