    They were the days, the pilot and observer were expected to do running repairs and the RAF in the Middle East even carried the odd spare on each flight. Gallant, rewarding and adventurous times.

    To me this is one of the most exciting areas. I wrote a paper on the development and advancement of aviation during that time for a Embry Riddle class I was taking.
