Bob Stanford Tuck (Fly For Your Life)

    Morning all.

I'm approaching the end of the book 'Fly For Your Life' the story of Stanford. For those who have read and possibly researched it, I would like to know of any areas that are exaggerated or have been doubted/proven incorrect, if any. The reason I ask is because I was simply astonished by some of the events in his story - he tells of shooting a drowning downed airman for example.

So, how accurate/truthful is this book? Any information is appreciated.

Could I request to have this moved back to the aviation forum, for more traffic, at least temporarily?

Although reading the book prompted the thread, I am interested in hearing actual details about Bob Tuck and his exploits.
