The German Pilots Who Flew Against The Bombers

There is info galore about the bombing missions over Germany and the pilots and air crews and what it was like to go on these harrowing missions. Now, what I don't see very much of is that of the German pilots who took on these hordes of bombers and their accounts of what that was like. Are there any good books or even websites on this subject?

I agree les. Ghostdancer, there is probably plenty of information in lots and lots of previous threads.
"I had ten rockets on board, and as I wasn't particularly fond of head-on attacks, I salvoed the whole lot at him. The rockets didn't hit him but but they must have scared the bejesus out of him, for he did a steep turn to starboard... I let him have the full blast, all eight fifty-calibers. I had never seen an aircraft completely disintegrate in the air the way this Me-110 did..."

I'll help you with a couple of books Ghostdancer.

I Flew for the Fuhrer, Knoke
    Helmut Lipfert's War Diary, Lipfert

The Lipfert book is about the Eastern Front though.

"Battles With The Luftwaffe" by Theo Boiten and Martin Bowman has many first hand accounts by Luftwaffe pilots going against the Viermots.
