65th Anniversary of Lidice Massacre

Today, it has been exactly 65 years since the Nazis flatended a Czech village Lidice as a revenge of Reinhard Heydrich assasination. All male inhabitants of the village were shot to death, women and children were sent to concentration camps. Then, the village was burnt down and flatended.

Please give your few second for remembrance. Lidice is a memento for all us who survived.

I posted information about that in my "this day in ww2" thread.

It was also this day in 1944 in Normandy that members of the "Hiter Jugend" division executed Canadian POW's in a wanton and inexcusable criminal act.

Yes an " inexcusable criminal act " like "Wounded Knee" and "Sand Creek".

Oh, not to forget " Guantanamo"

Many people wish we could execute those bastards there (after a trial of course).

Do us a favor. Dont be a moral relativitist because no one buys your lame arguments.

Are any of these places in Canada? If not then what's your point? It was Canadian POW's who were executed, not "Yankee Air Pirates"

Oh great. Now we're comparing Guatanimo to massacres.

And I guess we'll compare 9/11 to the Stock Market Crash of 1987.

There's a big difference between holding somebody for war crimes and shooting soldiers for the hell of it. Or obliterating a village.
