    Air Crash Investigation series

    Hey, just wondering if anybody else as seen this series. I've seen a few episodes, and I'm pretty impressed by it. Anybody else have an opinion on this?

    Yeah, I watch them whenever I can Vassili. Pretty amazing investigative work involved in each case. I don't know whether it's ethical to have a "favourite" disaster episode but the death of Concorde F-BTSC was spellbinding. All because of a small piece of metal lying on the tarmac.

    True Graeme, hard to have a favorite, since they all contain loss of life. I guess the one that I found intriguing the most would be "Behind Closed Doors" It's the one where the structural failure of the DC-10 rear door is investigated. Really unfortunate nothing major was done until the crash of Turkish flight 981.

    Aviation disasters.

    Gruesome little beasts are we not. I can recommend two very good books on this subject;
    "Disaters in the air" by Jan Bartelski and "Aviation Disasters" by David Gero. (covers every major civil crash, inc. Concord's, since 1950) [4th edition]
