| I bet their insurance costs will be astonomical. Plus no matter how big a ship is, its still subject to rolling in the swells which would be a landing hazard for pilots to trained to handle that.
I think its a non starter.

| Syscom is dead right, insurance companies wouldn't go near it, how do the planes stop without arrester gear, operating costs are huge for a carrier and they expect landing fees to cover it.
This smells like an April Fool joke |

Country: | Agreed, I would say there would be lots of accidents as well with non-carrier trained pilots landing with no arrestor gear... Probably is an April Fool...

You obviously read a Tom Clancy book and by the way he flew the 747 into the Whitehouse not into an Aircraft Carrier.
