It'd be a worry wouldn't it Matt! When I first watched it I was waiting for the whole thing to blow up!! Notice no one was wearing any ear protection, surely that's not good for the old ears!

When I was in A&P school we had a J-35 on an engine stand we used to run in the school parking lot. If you advanced the throttle too quickly you could make the compressor stall and it would shoot a fire ball out of the exhaust and sometimes blow one out of the intake - it was fun watching the faces of people walking by and seeing this happen!

Funny you say that. I was watching that with my sons and all I could say during the "supercharger" jet engine sequence, all I said to my son's was "see how that idiot is not wearing any eye protection".
