Country: | Why cant it. Helicopters can fly that high. Hell the Blackhawk can reach 19,000 to 21,000 ft. The only limitation is if the aircraft has oxygen for the crew on board.
We took the Cincinnati Bengals Cheerleaders up for a helicopter ride in Kosovo and we flew them up to the peak of a montain as we crossed 5280 ft in alltitude we asked them in a joking manner if they would like to join the mile high club...
They laughed and giggled like school girls but nothing happened. Damn it!!!

Country: | Ok, you can do it if you're in back. But what about flying the thing? I've heard that Helicoptors are incredible unstable. Can't fly them hands off (as apposed to a Piper Warrior or some such). Be kinda tough to keep it all going while you were gettin' busy.
I understand the Autopilot could be switched on but that kinda takes the challenge out of it, doesn't it? |

The Blackhawk would fly straight and level if you took your hands off the controls. All you had to do was make sure it is in trim.
Some helicopters have an auto pilot. I believe the Chinook does, not 100 percent sure.
