I read that John Banner (Shultz) was actually in a concentration camp, but got out before the extermination of the jews was fully implemented.

Werner Klemperer (Klink) fled to America in 1933 before he was captured. I also read many years ago that the only demand he had for accepting the role was that Klink was to never get the better of Hogan.

Robert Clary (Labeau) was deported to Buchenwald with 12 members of his family. He was the only survivor.

I love Hogans Heroes...such a funny show. I had no idea that Clink and Schultz had that history.

I also love Get Smart, absolutely classic. Missed it by that much!

I read somewhere, that the A-2 jacket bob crane wore in hogan's heroes, apart from being a studio made one and not an original, was actually the exact same jacket frank sinatra wore in the film von ryan's express.

Seen it once or twice but not for long. No time. But it does have some good laughs.

Rarely get the chance to watch anything consistently. Again, time.

Thanks for the head's up on the time N., will see it if I can.
