If you're single or if its you and a partner, the downtown area has some real neat apartments close to the entertainment district. I don't go around Carson too much but I'm told there are some nice places close to the base. The Springs is a nice town that's seen a lot of growth in the past few years. Crime has bumped up a bit but it's still a pretty nice place.
Are you going to have to move quickly or are you going to have time to look around for an apartment?

Country: | Hey no problem - shoot me a PM if you need any other help. Like I said for the most part this place is pretty nice, there are only a few places that are seedy. I was just told the best places are on the north side of town.

The city has really grown since 98. The only bad points is some of the infrastructure is taking it's time to catch up to the growth. Traffic is a bit of a problem, the major freeway is just being finished up so that will help a bit.
