Mazda3 problem

If any of our Canadian friends have a new Mazda, I suggest you go to:

Breaking: Mazda 3 vehicles lock assembly issue causes alarm

Reminds me of being able to break into the early Mondeos, by kicking the right place on the bumper, or Vectras where all you needed was a flathead screwdriver.

Almost as bad as the old VW type 4 or "411" or "412". You could actually
lift either front door handle, stick your index finger into the front corner
of the hole, and unlock the door !! Who needs a "slim jim" ?

Interesting - we had a Mazda3 last year, but got rid of it. It was an ok car, but had poor safety ratings for a car of its size when compared to, say, the Corolla.
