    Need some assistance, please

To all you scale model builders, in the US:

Next time you go to your favorite hobby shop, will you see if they have a twin float Japanese WW-II
seaplane in 1/48. While you're looking, see if they have a twin float German seaplane, also in 1/48.

If someone finds either or both, please let me know by PM, and we can work out the details.

My local hobby shop has two seaplanes, both Polish and both from the 1920-30's, and both in 1/72.

    Thanks....

    Charles

I will look Charles. I think Hobbytown USA had the German Arado 196 (I think that's correct) in stock but I haven't been there in awhile. I will make trip next week if possible.

I may have a few of the German float. I have several boxes of stuff I'm keeping "to do one day" and didn't post in the "Trade U 4..." thread. If I find one, you want it Charles?

Matt: Looking for a twin float Japanese or German WW-II seaplane in 1/48. I've never built a plastic scale model airplane,
and I wanna do one. Thought I'd start with a twin float seaplane.

Thanks, guys. I found an Arado Ar-196A, Kawanishi N1K1 and an Aichi M6A1 at: Tamiya America - 1/48 Scale Aircraft. All of these were 1/48.
These three were $82.00, $29.00 and $38.00 (us) and I guess plus shipping. The Arado was cool, but I'm not sure I want to drop
$82.00 into a first time build. They also had a "Rufe" and a "Swordfish" w/floats.

The two Arado links I have above has them for 38 and 58. Still a lot of cash for a first build, but the links above seem a little cheaper. Good luck on your first models.

Good luck on your build Charles. I put a call into Hobbytown today but didn't hear back. They were busy I guess. Will call them again tomorow.

Just for grins and giggles, I just ordered a $12.00 OS2U "Kingfisher", in 1/48 by Revell.

This is going to be interesting...... but, you gotta start somewhere !
